Description

Craft a bespoke bottle of gin that’s tailored to your taste, with an Adnams Make Your Own Gin experience. Our Southwold Make Your Own Gin sessions take place in our Gin Lab, located at the heart of the Copper House Distillery. During this fascinating experience, an Adnams Gin Maker will guide you through the process of making your own unique bottle of gin. Following a short tour of the Copper House Distillery to see our full-sized operation, we will scale things down to our mini copper stills and teach you the secrets of distillation.

You will learn about how to craft a great tasting gin, from balancing a wide variety of flavours and aromas, to understanding the influence of the distillation process. We will help you develop your own recipe from a wide selection of provided botanicals and you will go on to distil, fill and name your personal bottle. The experience also includes a tasting session showcasing our spirits range, including a selection of our best-loved brands, and any current seasonal releases available at the time of your visit.

This exciting experience lasts approximately 2, to 2.5 hours. As well as the opportunity to create your own full-sized, 70cl bottle of gin to take home with you, you'll also receive a free memento of your day.

Our Make Your Own Gin sessions have five stars on Tripadvisor, due to consistently high reviews.

Fun and informative

We had a great time; our guide was excellent who made sure we didn’t make a horrendous choice in mixing our own botanicals - at least we have another week to find out (you have to wait a fortnight before breaking into your bottle)!

A truly lovely gift.

This was a birthday present from some friends & I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to see how the professionals make gin on the tour of the distillery, before having a go at making a bottle of my very own gin. My tour guide was excellent, answered all my (many) questions & was most helpful when it came to selecting my botanicals. Now looking forward to getting the girls round so we can all taste my very own gin!
