Smidgin is ideal if you want to cut back on alcohol without losing out on the gin taste you love, or if you’re choosing to live a healthier lifestyle. Using the copper measure that comes with the bottle, just add 2.5ml (or half-a-teaspoon) of Smidgin to 200ml of your favourite tonic to get a full-flavoured, real gin experience for just 0.6% ABV, which is just 0.1 unit of alcohol. As Smidgin is a true gin, it has the same shelf-life as a regular spirit. There are no storage issues after opening. This, coupled with 80 servings in each 200ml bottle means Smidgin is long-lasting in more ways than one.

Smidgin is light on packaging but heavy on flavour. Its six-ingredient recipe of juniper, sweet orange peel, hibiscus flower, coriander seed, cardamom pods and orris root is offered in a 20cl bottle, creating a low-alcohol serve with an impressively intense floral bouquet.

Description

It might look small, but Smidgin is mighty in flavour, as it is made to do more with less. It’s a gin for making a low alcohol G&T, but it’s actually packed with 10 times the botanicals for big gin flavour. It’s distilled in the same way as all Adnams gins, but we increase the intensity of its six-ingredient recipe, so all you need is a Smidgin with your tonic for a full-flavoured, low alcohol G&T.

How does it taste

This aromatic, juniper-forward gin is full of fruity and floral characteristics. The citrus notes in juniper are bolstered by zesty peels and balanced by the sweet, flowery notes of cardamom and the light spice of coriander seeds. Underlying hints of hibiscus lift these characteristics and give a refreshingly soft floral finish.

Search over!

My daughters brought me a bottle of Smidgin for Father’s Day as they know I have been searching for low and now alcohol alternatives, without a huge amount of success. However, with Smidgin, I think you have cracked it!! It’s really cheered me up, as I need to be careful (after effects of glandular fever as a child). It’s a proper Gin and Tonic!! After so many false promises and good efforts by some of your peers, I have found the answer in Smidgin. Please now get it behind pub bars!!

A proper alcohol free gin!

Its super. Tastes like a nice gin but very low alcohol. I've tried a few alternatives which are frequently ghastly. However the Smidgin gin is the real deal, delicious botanicals and a nice mouthfeel. Also the packaging is lovely with the beautiful copper measuring spoon. Definitely my go-to G&T gin from now on. Well done Adnams!

Great!

I haven't been a fan in the past of limited alcohol alternatives, but as gin is one of my favourite drinks I wanted to give this a go. What a great idea to produce a super concentrated spirit (in strength and flavour) so that a tiny amount still packs a punch. Very impressed, great flavour and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Just hope this becomes more widely available - both to buy the bottle and in bars. I definitely wouldn't feel like I'm missing out on anything if I could go out and enjoy this instead of drinking regular gin.

Delicious

Absolutely the nicest low alcohol drink I have ever had, a bit step up from the others. Delicious with elderflower presse or something like Lilt.

I need to order some more!
