CORE CASK COLLECTION

We have been brewing for 150 years, so we know a thing or two about cask. Our core beer range contains brands that are not only best-sellers in the East of England, but are also widely available nationally. The beers below are permanently available and are supported by an exciting range of seasonal and special brews throughout the year.

IPA | 4.5%

Ghost Ship

Ghost Ship is brewed with Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara Malts which add depth and those moreish biscuity aromas we all love. A blend of Citra and other American hop varieties provide Ghost Ship's bold citrus flavours of lemon and lime, aromatic elderflower notes, and that famous hoppy finish.

Bitter | 3.7%

Southwold Bitter

Southwold Bitter is authentic and full of character, just like its namesake – our hometown on the Suffolk coast. Copper-coloured and late-hopped with Fuggles, its distinctive, thirst-quenching, herbal hoppiness keeps you coming back for more. Synonymous with pub firesides, fresh sea air and the distant sound of crashing waves, it has everything you would expect from an English Bitter.

Strong Ale | 4.7%

Broadside

Broadside delivers a cannon of bold fruitcake flavours and a taste that’s endured for nearly 50 years. First launched in 1972 to mark the tercentenary of the Battle of Sole Bay, this dark ruby red beer has become a showcase for East Anglian malt, First Gold hops and the unique, fruity characteristics of Adnams house yeast.

Pale Ale | 4.1%

Mosaic

Mosaic Pale Ale is a showcase for an exciting American hop by the same name; and just like its name suggests, there is a complexity and a vibrancy to its profile. It provides a real mosaic of fruity and floral characteristics, that quickly made it a favourite in the brewing world. We’ve used a base of light malts to really lets those bold hop flavours and aromas shine, enabling you to discover something different with every sip.

Our keg beers enable us to offer customers some of our best-loved beers in an alternative format. They also help us expand the range of styles we brew, from English lager, to American pale ales, and exciting specials.

Kobold

Kobold is a great all-rounder, as well as a real showcase for English barley and hops. Its recipe keeps things clean and simple – much like its taste. With simplicity comes versatility, so open on any occasion were a crisp, cold beer is the order of the day. It’s perfect for reviving a food-weary palate or simply slaking a thirst. Named after the water spirit of legend that protects sailors on the North Sea, Kobold is a premium English lager with a refreshing taste and sustainability mission to match. Inspired by its namesake, sales of Kobold support marine conservation projects through a partnership with the Blue Marine Foundation. Together, we can help protect our seas, coastlines, and planet for everyone to enjoy.

Lager | 4.2%

Dry Hopped Lager

We’ve brewed with pale malts and used peachy Australian Galaxy hops to add a fruity twist to our delicious lager. It is then lagered, or cold conditioned, to give a full, well-rounded flavour and that dry, refreshing bite. Galaxy hops are descended from the excellent German allrounder, Perle, and are known for their amazing peach, and passionfruit aromas, especially when used as a late addition.

Pale Ale | 4.1%

Mosaic

Ease Up IPA

Ease Up is a sessionable IPA with cheek-puckering grapefruit flavours and fresh, fruity, resinous notes thanks to a stellar cast of bright, aromatic hops. Ease Up’s recipe is built around the hops, which come from both England and American. It has a lower abv than a full-strength US style IPA but is still big on flavour.

Stout | 4.2%

Blackshore Stout

Blackshore is a smooth, easy-drinking stout, named after the black-tarred fishing huts that line Southwold's harbour. They are individual, characterful and made of sturdy stuff. It is brewed with a hefty mash bill for a rich, broad malt character. You’ll find Pale Ale, Brown, Double Roasted Crystal, and Chocolate malts, alongside Roasted Barley and a hearty helping of oats. This adds a real depth of flavour, that the brewing team are particularly proud of, making it tremendously tasty, but mellow on the finish.

Cider | 5%

Wild Wave English Cider

Fermented with champagne and wine yeasts, Wild Wave is a bright, sparkling cider at 5% abv with flavours and aromas of fresh apples, mango and tropical fruit, elegantly balanced with a medium-dry-finish. Serve at North Sea temperatures.

Pale ale | 0.5%

Ghost Ship 0.5%

Ghost Ship 0.5% is no apparition; it really is a low alcohol beer! Brewed with Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara Malts which add depth, and a blend of Citra and other American hops
for that famous citrus finish and flavours of lemon and lime.
You’ll get 100% of the taste, at just 0.5% abv. Spooky!
