Just down the road, in Norfolk's sunny, sheltered Waveney Valley, Flint Vineyard are proudly producing some of England's finest wines. Named after the the free-draining gravel and flint soil, winemaker and owner, Ben Witchell is meticulous in every detail, whilst crafting small parcels which blend tradition with innovation and creativity. The Bacchus Fume was harvested from Flint's own vines, and a parcel from Martin’s Lane Vineyard in the Crouch Valley, Essex.

Description

A rounded style of Bacchus presenting Flint's best expression of the variety. Ripe, fleshy pear and English apple on the nose with hints of violets and Turkish delight. The palate is soft and textured but also fresh and crisp. A generous length of pink grapefruit, almonds and biscuit pastry rounds off this complex wine.

How does it taste

Orchard fruits on the nose, with a soft and complex palate. Refreshing citrus characteristics are complemented by a nutty and biscuity finish.
