Beautifully Fresh
The Du Luc family built Château Branaire-Ducru in 1824 before passing it onto the Ducru family where it remained until 1919. Since 1988 it has been owned by the Maroteaux family, and is today managed by, second generation, Patrick. Known as one of the warmest terroirs in the region, the vineyards extend over 70 hectares and includes vines with an average age of 36 years (some are even as old as 100 years). Cabernet Sauvignon reigns king here, like it does for so many estates on Bordeaux’s left bank. Just like us at Adnams, Château Branaire-Ducru cherishes its bees and has been certified Bee Friendly since 2021.
