Ripe stone fruit, orange peel and a touch of herb

BIDDIZZA (Bid-deets-sa) means 'beauty' in Sicilian dialect. Produced by Fasoli Gino’s modern project; TASI Wines who passionately craft authentic, genuine and terroir driven wines, from natural viticulture. Dating back to 1925 and now led by 4th generation of winemakers, the Fasoli Gino estate is a highly respected Veneto winery – and historic partner for Adnams. In contrast, TASI is a young, up and coming winery, who – supported by their experienced forefathers (who still run the Fasoli Gino estate) – have transformed what was once a quarry, into a beautiful organic vineyard overlooking the entire valley. TASI is a modern slang word from the Veneto area (from Italian ‘taci’ the verb being ‘tacére, to literally shut up). Why? Well sometimes, it is best to let a wine speak for itself. This wine also looks the part; with label artwork from Los Angeles mural artist, Eric Junker. This is going to be a favourite this summer; perfect for afternoon alfresco drinking, or try it paired with Caponata – a Sicilian dish of baked aubergine.

Description

Made from organic Catarratto, where the grape is right at home in the Sicilian sunshine. Organic, unfiltered and fermented cool with wild yeasts. Whole grapes were left in contact with their skins for 15 days in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and crisp acidity, while extracting the classic orange hue and characterful tannin structure.

How does it taste

Floral aromas, with ripe stone fruit, orange peel and a touch of herb on the finish. An expressive orange wine with characterful tannin and body.
