Description

Situated to the south-east of Frankfurt, the region produces white and red wines, contrary to the likes of the Mosel and the Rhine regions which are very much white wine country. With the region sheltered by the Haardt mountains to the west, the climate is very similar to that of it's southerly neighbour Alsace.

How does it taste

Light garnet in colour, this Pinot Noir opens up with beautiful aromas of baking spice, strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry. Hints of rosewater, forest floor and earthy mushrooms. The palate has layered flavours of hearty berries intermingled with savoury notes of spice and minerality. The structure creates an interesting texture that finishes with hints of anise. The perfect match for roasted duck, grilled red meats or soft cheeses.
