Having worked in the spirits industry for almost 50 years Rubis know a thing or two about good drinks. Stumbling across an old Aztec recipe one day, the family run business discovered a new way of creating a truly delicious tipple: by blending cocoa beans and fortified grapes. Since its launch the wine has gone on to win many awards, including Gold at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Description

Rubis blends the Spanish grape variety Tempranillo with pure cacao essence to create this Port style wine. Scents of black cherry, raspberry and mocha flow into a velvety palate of berry ganache, dark chocolate truffle and coffee, finishing with vanilla spice. A lively acidity balances the rich sweetness of the wine. Serve at room temperature or chilled, and pair with a simple scope of ice cream or Christmas pudding over the festive season.

How does it taste

This Port style wine has heady aromas and flavours of red berries and chocolate. Indulgent and delicious.
