      The LADY OF LEMBERG

Tulbagh is the smallest wine region in South Africa, and it is here where the family-owned boutique wine farm, Lemberg Wine Estate, is nestled. An hour north of Cape Town, surrounded by the Witzenberg en Winterhoek Mountains is the 21 hectare estate, of which 9 hectares are dedicated to vineyards, including the only block of Hárslevelü in South Africa, a white grape variety originating from the Tokaj wine region of Hungary. The commitment to working with nature is reflected in Lemberg Wine Estate’s green farming practices, which includes the avoidance of harmful pesticides and utilising beneficial insects like ladybirds and wasps to control aphids. Whilst sustainable practices, such as cover crops, mulching, and hand weeding, minimize the use of herbicides.
