The Talmard family’s historic significance can be found in records in Burgundy as far back as the 17th Century. Through the generations, the family has managed the estate with expertise and each vintage offers something special. Daughter Mallory and son-in-law Benjamin took over from Paul Talmard in 1997 and continue with his philosophy of 'skill and love of the vine.' The landscape here is characterised by its limestone soils, which are of immense importance to the character of Burgundy’s wines, bringing a quintessential minerality and complexity. The vineyard team uses straw to bring out the natural fertilisers in the soil, because excellent quality and respect for the land is at the heart of their production. The Talmard Tradition is a celebration of three generations of the Talmard family; Paul, Benjamin and Mallory and their son Marco.
