A 100-point wine
Seña was created in 1995 as a joint venture between Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi, two wine pioneers in their own country and beyond. Their ambition was to create a wine that would rival Bordeaux’s First Growths and results in an icon wine like none other in Chile. In 1997 they released the first vintage of Seña (1995), a wine that is both Chilean and Bordelais in style. Located in Chile’s Aconcagua Valley, Seña’s 42 hectare hillside vineyard was planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere. From the beginning, one of Seña’s key goals was to work closely with nature while preserving natural resources, and so today all grapes are grown under organic and biodynamic farming principles.
