Ripe wild fruit, delicate notes of spice

The 2017 vintage was lower yielding, with fewer bunches of smaller grapes, but with excellent concentration. This was a challenging year for the viticulture and winemaking teams. 2017 will certainly go down in history as a year of exceptional wines. Dating back to 1615, Quinta do Crasto is one of the most spectacularly situated properties in the Douro, and among the first to break out on its own. Owned and run by the Roquette family, Crasto has quickly established a worldwide reputation for the quality of both its Port and its red wines. Marrying tradition with the state-of-the-art technologies, Quinta do Crasto still uses the foot-treading method in old granite Lagares.
