Founded in 1997, Darling Cellars is situated on the cool west coast of South Africa in Darling. Historically the area was focused on dairy production, and it is only in the last 10 – 15 years that grape growing has come to the fore. A a large and important producer, Darling Cellars specialise in Sauvignon Blanc with vineyards that range from 1 to 50 years in age. They follow sustainable practices and traditional methods, benefiting the land and the wines.

Description

A bouquet of green fig, asparagus, and freshly cut grass leads to a delightful tropical fruit palate of melon, passionfruit and pineapple. These flavours are supported by a vibrant acidity and crisp finish. This wine will pair well with most seafood but will go particularly well with mussels and oysters.

How does it taste

Classic Sauvignon Blanc notes of freshly cut grass and green fig, complimented by tropical fruits and a zippy acidity.
