Description

Picpoul de Pinet is an appelation in southern France's Languedoc region, sepcialising in zippy, aromatic whies made exclusively from Picpoul grapes. Its Mediterranean climate and proximity to the Etang de Thau saltwater lagoon conveys fresh characteristics and a strong marine influence. Pale yelloe in colour with green highlights, its delicate floral aromas persist through tomes of citrus fruit. Picpoul means 'lip stinger', so it's crisp and tangy, with notes of green apples, lemon, and refreshing grapefruit flavours. Its hints of salinity and a persistent finish elevate Mediterranean seafood, and buttered aspargus.
