Fleur de Fonplegade 2021, St-Emilion

Fleur de Fonplegade 2021, St-Emilion

Vines have thrived at Chateau Fonplégade since the 1500s and are some of the finest vineyards in Saint-Emilion today. In 1852, wine merchant Jean-Pierre Beylot purchased the estate and built the elegant château that still stands. Today Chateau Fonplégade is owned by Denise and Stephen Adams, who have nurtured the vineyards since 2004. Fleur de Fonplégade is a second wine of the estate, crafted by famed winemaker Stephane Derenoncourt. Merlot-dominate, this is a wine that encapsulates the terroir and Stephane’s expert winemaking skills. Fantastic value for money.

Matured for 15 months in French oak barrels, tannins are silky and delicate, with a rounded texture and a long, delicious finish. Pair with steak frites for a classic French lunch, or with venison and duck dishes.
