Founded in 1851 by Charles-Camille Heidsieck, the original ‘Champagne Charlie’, Charles Heidsieck is one of Champagne's smallest Grand Marques. Based in the city of Reims, it is one of the few houses able to use the UNESCO "crayères" cellars under the city. These cathedral-like "crayères" were hand-dug by the Romans nearly 2000 years ago and now act as the perfect location for ageing champagne. In early 2025, Charles Heidsieck was B Corp Certified. A certification that illustrates the commitment of the champagne house to improving it social and environmental impacts on the planet.

Description

This is 100% Chardonnay and is one of the finest non-vintage Blanc de Blancs available. Aromas of white peach, candied citrus fruits, honeysuckle, and hazelnuts. On the palate, the wine bears all the hallmarks of a Charles Heidsieck Champagne: boldness, richness, and elegance. It’s mineral, slightly salty, iodine notes are complimented by a silky, creamy texture. Elevate a homely dish of roast chicken with Charles Heidsieck’s NV Blanc de Blancs for a luxurious pairing.

How does it taste

Aromas of peach, candied citrus fruits, honeysuckle, and hazelnuts flow onto the palate, which is rich and elegant. The wine is perfectly balanced by a long and salty, mineral finish.
