Vergelegen Florence Rosé 2024,Stellenbosch
The first vines were planted at Vergelegen in 1700 by founder Willem Adriaan van der Stel. Since then the estate has been owned by several renowned families; the Barlow family, who purchased the estate in 1941, having left their mark the most. Indeed, the estate has wines named after the Barlows. For three decades, Vergelegen has farmed sustainably, striving to work as naturally as possible with the least amount of intervention. There is little use of pesticides and chemicals, electrical consumption is reduced, and grape skins and stems are composted after harvest to be used in the vineyards as organic fertilizer.
