Fresh and fragrant
Maison Brotte was established in 1931 but the vineyards in its portfolio date back as far as 1880. It was a young Charles Brotte who created Maison Brotte after graduating from business school in Marseille, deciding to sell wines from across the Rhone Valley. Today it is managed by fourth generation Laurent Brotte and his wife Christine, along with their sons Thibault and Benoît. Maison Brotte has three wine estates within its portfolio, including Château de Bord in Laudun, which is where this wine stems from. The altitude here provides a nice freshness for Grenache Blanc. As well as tending their own vines, Maison Brotte sources grapes from other small, local winemakers with whom they have been working with for several decades. Certified organic since 2020, Maison Brotte work hard to ensure the winemakers they collaborate with follow sustainable practices if not certified organic too.
