Sloe Gin is a traditional English liqueur made with Gin and Sloe drupes (berries), which are a small fruit from the Blackthorn tree and are a relative of the plum. Our sloes (and a certain amount of sugar) are steeped in gin for three months to extract all that lovely juice. After this maceration, the skins and stones are filtered out and the now ruby red liqueur is ready to drink. Adnams uses Copper House Dry Gin as the base for its Sloe Gin. The botanicals in Copper House can hold their own against the tart sloes and flavours such as sweet orange peel negate the need to over-sweeten things. The result is a rich and warming spirit.

How does it taste

Our Sloe Gin has gentle aromas of plums, cherries and red rope liquorice. Its jammy hedgerow fruit and the natural bitterness of the sloes are perfectly balanced on the palate, which is smooth and round and displays notes of marzipan on the finish.
