Located a short distance from the Roche de Solutré, in the heart of the Pouily-Fuissé appellation, is Domaines Auvigues. The vineyard stretches to the ends of Mâconnais with vines nestled in the village of Chardonnay. Established in the 1940’s, the estate gained popularity in the 1970s as sales of Chardonnay grew, before joining arms with Maison Jean Loron in 1976. The Viré-Clessé appellation is just 26 years old, after merging the regions of Viré and Clessé together in 1999.

Description

Made from a selection of the oldest vines within the village, this white Burgundy has a riper fruit freshness with hints of peach, nectarine, honeysuckle, and lime. It is structured and mouth-filling with a lovely, elegant finish. Delightful on its own, or pair with a simple chicken salad.

How does it taste

Stone fruits and citrus flavours are complemented by a floral note. This is both fresh and structured with an elegant finish.
