The parcels of Shiraz were selected by the winemaker for their fresh berry characteristics which are notable in this wine style. Wine was fermented on skins for five to seven days at 20-24C with American oak. The resulting wine is a A medium bodied Shiraz that shows vibrant redcurrants and dark cherry flavours, showing a hint of sweetness. Smooth, soft oak tannins finishing with peppery spice. ​De Bortoli are one of Australia’s leading family owned wineries. With their Italian heritage – they’re third generation from Prosecco’s Asolo region – good food and good wine are at the very core of their ethos.
