Ferraton Père et Fils is a small family-owned business and their vineyards largely lie in the Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage appellations of the northern Rhône. The vineyards were converted into biodynamic farming and the family are content to produce small quantities of great value, traditionally-made wines. Jean Orens named his Crozes-Hermitage after his father, Frédéric Reverdy. The wine is partially aged in oak barrels for 12 months to give that classic, savoury rustic charm, with intense red cherry colour and and ripe finish.
