Bodegas Bagordi has a long history of viticulture and an almost as long relationship with Adnams. Situated just outside Andosilla they have been producing wine since the 18th Century. Organically certified since 1997, vines are planted on purposefully poor, free-draining soils along the banks of the Ega and Ebro rivers. Their wines are proudly produced with low-intervention techniques and we have always tasted wines of real integrity and complexity from this Bodega.

Description

Displaying a brilliant ruby red colour, with garnet-red reflections on the edge of the glass. Rich scents of ripe red berries, black pepper, and cloves, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla and dark chocolate. Well-structured, featuring fruity and balsamic notes, with hints of dark chocolate and spices. The wine offers a long-lasting echo, with good tannins and freshness amid complex red and black fruits, and a notable presence of vanilla on the finish.

How does it taste

This is a bold, full-bodied Rioja with a pronounced nose of punchy red fruit, vanilla, and spice. More of the same on the palate leading into a long, complex finish.
