In the past 20 years one region has risen to challenge Burgundy's pre-eminent production of the Pinot Noir grape and that is the Otago region of New Zealand's South Island. Its cool climate has provided the perfect growing conditions for this fickle grape. Winemaker John Forrest cultivates Pinot Noir vines in the well-favoured Bannockburn region and makes this modern classic for us. Flavour-packed and displaying the characteristic elegance of Pinot alongside a New World vigour.

Central Otago gem

Found this gem in Southwold, then went back by buy half a dozen especially because it was on offer.

So good I ordered some more to be delivered to cornwall.

The only comment is that there was some confusion on your website about where this wine actually comes from. It was very muddled. Bannockburn is a great area for the Pinot noir grape. Worth a visit as I have been lucky enough to do several times.

A wine for all seasons

This is one of my favourite wines - light yet full-flavoured, very drinkable with a wide variety of foods. I always enjoy it, and it is one of my go-to gifts for friends.

What a surprise!

I’m not normally a Pinot Noir drinker… this delightful bottle is a big surprise, a summer evening and a plate of lasagne, balsamic dressed leaves then I opened this. Yes light summer fruit! Strawberries and Raspberries, light on the tastebuds with a real depth of finish lingering spicy notes.
