We are proud to announce that we have been awarded with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development for a third time, having received the award previously in 2005 and 2012. With being one of only 19 companies in the UK to receive this honour, we are extremely proud that our continuing commitment to sustainability still positions us as one of the leading businesses for sustainable practice in the UK.

The award recognises companies for their enduring commitment to sustainability. We build in sustainable business practices throughout our organisation including building a fully sustainable eco distribution centre with one of the largest green roofs that harvests rainwater, offering a home to over one million honey bees, having one of Europe’s most energy efficient breweries using 100% renewable electricity and sending zero waste to landfill. We believe in sharing knowledge and embracing collaboration with other businesses and communities, and for 29 years we have been donating 1% of our profits to the Adnams Community Trust and separately supporting more than 350 charitable causes.

Dr Andy Wood, OBE, DL CEO commented: “Our company values are rooted in making great products without costing the earth. For many years, we’ve been committed to running our business in a responsible, sustainable way. From selecting suppliers we work with, through to the ingredients we buy for our beers and spirits, we look at all aspects of production and the whole of the business to make sure we’re doing the right thing.”

“Business can and should be a force for good, we have invested heavily in our people and our business for many years and we take great pride in everything we do. I would like to once again thank our customers for their continued support which is so important to us, and our incredible teams who live our values every day which enable us to be recognised at the highest levels.”
