bright and zesty

The wine is well-balanced and supported by bright acidity. Pecorino is not only the name of the famous ewe's milk cheese, but it is a fairly rare grape variety from the Abruzzo region of central Italy. Locals proclaim Pecorino was named after the local sheep that used to graze on the grapes, however, we like to think the shape of the grape bunches looks like a sheep's head. Either way, it's a very tasty glassful!

    Based in Southwold, Adnams have an interesting range of own-label wines. The Pecorino grape from central Italy shares its name with the famous ewe's milk cheese, and this is an easy-drinking, subtle white with a creamy texture. Excellent company with fish.

Superb Wine

Pecorino is a superb variety and this wine is the perfect example of what it should taste like. Bought a case last week, and will need to get another as it's far too drinkable.
