This is made from more than 20 different white grape varieties, most of them native to this region. The vineyards are situated in the high Douro close to the Spanish border which are a new aquisition for the family-run firm of Quinta do Crasto.

A good choice

We drank this off the back of Hugh Johnson's recommendation, and it was delicious. Good enough to stand up to some food, but easy enough to drink on its own. For the money, a sensational buy.
