I am not a wine critic by any means, but my memories of drinking Madiran and eating Garbure (Pyrenean vegetable soup) while on walking holidays long ago were revived while reading a book by Fred Vargas (the English version is called "This Poison Will Remain") in which the detective Adamsberg investigates crimes in that region, and a lot of Madiran is drunk. In fact I thought your version of Madiran was smoother and more drinkable than I remembered. I'm happily consuming it with home made Garbure (thanks to my wife) and of course, mountain cheeses. I'll be back.
