fresh and intensely aromatic

fresh and intensely aromatic

Ruth De Andres is passionate about producing wines in the most sustainable way possible; with as little intervention as possible, using natural yeasts and with a firm awareness of the environment. For her, sustainability is a way of life. At 700-800 metres above sea level, and with strong influence from the Atlantic Ocean, the seasons are stark – with long, cold winters and short, hot summers. The drop in nighttime temperatures during summer is the secret to slow maturation, allowing the perfect balance of sugar and acid. Alegra means ‘happy’ in Spanish, and this cheerfully bright wine embodies this.

Description

This authentic Verdejo reflects the continental climate of Rueda; where warm, sunny days and cold nights produce fresh and intensely aromatic wines. Light, with well-balanced acidity and delicate flowers on the nose. Its crisp minerality makes it the perfect match to seafood, grilled asparagus or lightly-spiced Asian cuisine.

How does it taste

From winemaker Ruth De Andres comes this delightfully fresh, fruity and vibrant Verdejo, with a soft herbaceous finish.
