Sir John Leman High School in Beccles has 1,453 students aged between 11 and 18,

Since the start of the pandemic, school as most people remember it has changed into something unrecognisable, unpredictable and uncertain for many people. The grant of £950 that the Adnams Community Trust gave to Sir John Leman High School allowed us to buy ten solid wooden benches for our outside seating areas, thus enabling us to help students rebuild what community is to them, to heal the wounds of isolation as much as can be, and to encourage continual conversation to counter the risk that negative mental health poses. It is heart-warming to see them outside, chatting, socialising and being kind to each other.”
