Our Jack Brand beers give a firm nod to many years of Adnams brewing heritage, at the same time as introducing modern styles, flavours, and recipes. For our Blood Orange Session IPA we used blood orange and grapefruit juice to build on the citrus notes already found in our chosen hops and enhance their fruity characteristics. We’ve kept things light,with pale ale malt, and chose Mosaic and Chinook hops for their complexity, as well as their tropical fruit flavours, hints of pine, and those citrus notes we’ve looked to amplify. Adding juice helps balance the bitterness and creates real depth of flavour, making it really approachable, and moreish.The 'Jack Brand,' or 'Southwold Jack,' is Adnams oldest trademark. The design is inspired by some old, refillable 'Jack Brand' bottles found in our cellars. They were hand-crafted and simple and it was this honesty and simplicity that we wanted to reflect in the range.
