Our Rioja Reserva is produced in La Rioja Alta in the north-western part of the Rioja region from low-yielding, old Tempranillo vines. The Rioja Alta region is higher in altitude than Rioja Baja in the east and is known for producing wines that are more aromatic with plump juicy fruit and bright acidity. This Reserva truly shouts Rioja, combining rich, silky tannins with elegance and poise, It's aged for 18 months in traditional American oak barrels and then a further 18 months in bottle before being released. We love reserva Riojas for their complex aromas of dried fruit, ripe blackberries, leathery notes and hints of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is very soft and round, ripe with a silky texture, subtle herbal notes and a long-lasting, warming finish.
