juicy structure
and elegance
This wine is produced in La Rioja Alta in the north-western part of the Rioja region from low-yielding, old vines. The Rioja Alta region is higher in altitude than Rioja Baja in the east and is known for producing wines that are more aromatic with plump, juicy fruit and bright acidity. This Rioja is classified as Crianza, meaning the wine is aged for a minimum of 12 months in traditional American oak barrels that give the warming vanillary, cigarbox, toasty notes typically associated with Rioja. We selected this wine for its mellow aromas of sweet cherries, red plums, orange peel, well-integrated oak as well as juicy structure and elegance.
