From Agentina's most sought after winemaker Susana Balbo, from vineyards established by Professor Perdo Marchevsky. Together they make up Mendoza's most formidable 'Power Couple'. The professor has managed Andean vineyards and been the Number One consulted in these parts for 30 Years, always focusing on the vines' ultimate expression, encouraging the production if vivid wine with ripe tannins - possibly one of the early 'Terrior-ist'. 'Ben Marco' ('Son of Marcos' in Hebrew) pays tribute to Pedros Father, who happily shared his vine husbandry and grape production with his son. the vines are planted at a very lofty 900 metres above sea-level in Agrelo Oeste, and to add further intrigue, expression and breadth to this Pinot Noir, Susana has added 5% Viognier - a trick often used in the great reds of the northern Rhône, as well as elsewhere in Europe and the southern hemisphere. Wild strawberries, summer fruits and a dash of vanilla.
