Enjoy the best of the Fest

Enjoy the best of the Fest

Quick, pull up your loferls and dust-off your dirndl or lederhosen. Don’t miss out on the chance to share a foaming stein of Festbier for Oktoberfest. As this celebration continues to grow in popularity, the discerning beer fan will search for a genuine German experience. The home of Benediktiner beer is in the idyllic town of Ettal, in Bavaria. In the fresh mountain air, 877 metres above sea level, the Benedictine monks have lived, worked and prayed at the Ettal Abbey for more than 600 years. They make time to take in all the good that’s around them, and have the utmost care and respect in all of their actions. Their values don’t just determine the lifestyle of the Benedictine monks, they also influence their style of brewing. The wheat beers originally produced by the Benedictine family based at the Ettal Abbey are connected to this tradition. They are now brewed in partnership with Bitburger, following those original Benedictine recipes and using a special brewing yeast from the village of Ettal. Prost!

Description

"O'zapft is!" - this beer must be tapped. Fill your stein with a genuine German beer from Benedicktiner this Oktoberfest. Brewed to original Benedictine recipes using yeast from the village of Ettal, this is a full-flavoured, expressive Festbier with aromas of ripe grains, honey, and native fruits.

How does it taste

The closest thing to heaven, Benediktiner Festbier is a pleasure to drink, thanks to its fine flavour, malty aroma, and intense golden-yellow appearance. The aromatic profile of Ettal cellar yeast, paired with a soft bitterness from the hops, makes Benediktiner Festbier a flavour experience. Brewed in Lich in accordance with the original Benedictine recipe, it has aromas of ripe grains, honey and ripe, native fruits which impart a distinctive note to this assertive Festbier. Its full body is borne on the palate by a subtle, lingering effervescence and rounded out with flavours of ripe grains and late-summer honey, as well as a delicate hop bouquet. There's a fruity, spicy note to the finish.

TASTY

Not bad for a change, pleasant flavour but nothing special. However for the future I will probably stick with your own Adnams bitters, which I have loved drinking for many years and hopefully for many to come.
