A hop-forward

Mosaic Pale Ale is part of our Jack Brand range of beers. They give a firm nod to many years of Adnams brewing heritage, at the same time as introducing modern styles, flavours, and recipes. Mosaic is a US hop that was first released in 2012. It is the offspring of Simcoe (with its stone fruit, citrus and pine notes) and Nugget (with its woody, resiny bitterness). Hop producers took the key attributes of these varieties to provide a crisp, clean bitterness and some outstanding fruity/floral flavours and aromas. This exciting American hop can contribute a lot, so we use it at each stage of the process, when brewing Mosaic Pale Ale. The 'Jack Brand,' or 'Southwold Jack,' is Adnams oldest trademark and the design is inspired by some old, refillable 'Jack Brand' bottles found in our cellars. Small, dark-brown and branded with cream-coloured paint, they were hand-crafted and simple. It was this honesty and simplicity we wanted to reflect in the range.
