The Lighthouse Rooms
The Swan Hotel is celebrating 350 years of welcoming guests to Southwold with a refurbishment of 16 rooms situated around our garden. We’ve renamed them The Lighthouse Rooms, as you can see Southwold’s lovely Victorian lighthouse from the garden. Gleaming white on a sunny day, it’s the epitome of Southwold.
The rooms were formerly known as The Garden Rooms, and all have their own patio area where you can enjoy drinks after a stroll on the beach. Well behaved dogs are welcome to stay in these rooms, too, although with the fresh smell of the sea in the air and the promise of some lovely walks, keeping them in may be a challenge. All the rooms have a seaside feel and are fresh, contemporary and airy.
All our Standard Rooms have a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a television, and in addition to this, the Superior Rooms have a DVD player, mineral water, dressing gowns, fresh flowers and a turndown service.
It’s not just you who we’d like to invite to enjoy the Lighthouse Rooms. Being a dog friendly hotel, we welcome dogs in them too – although what with the fresh sea air and so many lovely walks on the doorstop, keeping them in may be a challenge.
