Winter scenes
Here’s a collection of pictures taken between Christmas and New Year, and a very short clip of thousands of starlings roosting in the Hen Reedbeds, just outside Southwold.
The noise of the chattering when they’ve all landed in the reeds is amazing. If you get the chance, visit the hen reedbeds, and wait at sunset on the river wall – it is an amazing natural sight.
It’s best to see them in the flesh (or feather), but here’s a few stills.
There's snow flakes on my camera lens, but the starlings have formed a lovely donut shape in the air

Staying with a bird-theme, this Swan was disappointed to be met by a camera rather than the hoped-for piece of bread.
