Adnams secures pouring rights at Ipswich Town Football Club
The agreement is the biggest Pouring Rights contract in the Club’s history and will see Southwold based Adnams work alongside Ipswich Town for the first time.
Adnams, who were founded in 1872, will include Carlsberg as a partner in the deal.
“During such a dynamic time in the history of our Football Club, we are delighted to announce this partnership with Adnams,” said Town Chief Executive, Simon Clegg.
“Once again it shows our commitment and determination to work, wherever possible, with local companies. The partnership is committed to optimise the benefits of two such iconic brands within the region and will come alive through a range of exciting new initiatives for fans and customers alike.”
Andy Wood, Managing Director at Adnams, said: “It’s fantastic news to have Adnams beers available at Ipswich Town Football Club. Both Adnams and Ipswich Town are at the heart of Suffolk life and it seems a perfect fit for us to work together. We want this partnership to be more than simply having beer in the bars; our aim is to work with the Club on a variety of projects to develop our commitment to the local community.”
Adnams take over the Pouring Rights agreement with the Club from Greene King, with Simon adding: “While looking forward to a successful working relationship with Adnams over the next five years, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Greene King for their support over recent years.”
