Adnams Invests to Boost UK Tourism

The Adnams Swan Hotel in Southwold has this week begun a £250,000 refurbishment of the Garden Rooms. The rooms will be transformed into the ‘Lighthouse Rooms’ reflecting the view of the famous Southwold landmark, which can be seen from the garden of the Swan Hotel.

The rooms will feature new interiors with stylish coastal designs from a leading Orford based interiors specialist Modern Box Design and will reopen in time for Easter 2009.

Francis Guildea General Manager of Adnams Hotels said “The new Lighthouse rooms will be a fantastic addition to The Swan and offer customers a contemporary and stylish location for a break in Southwold. We expect more and more customers to holiday in the UK this year and expect 2009 to be one of our busiest ever.”

The Swan is a 42-bedroomed hotel with the recently added three-bedroom Brewer’s House holiday let. The main hotel is not impacted by the work and rooms and the restaurant are open as normal while the refurbishment takes place.

Rates for the Lighthouse Rooms will start from £130 per room Bed and Breakfast.
