Hi Mark, Just tasted the Oyster a few hours ago, it’s come out really well, lots of liqourice, roasted malt, coffee etc. everything you’d want in a Stout. Hope it sell swell for you.
Bottled Tally Ho is currently just avauilible in our stores and on-line but hope to get it listed in the local supermarkets soon. We do have a few casks of Tally Ho left if you’re interested.
Hi, got the Oyster going on in the next few days. Have had a few Adnam’s Ales on over the past couple of years – all have sold well.
Looking forward to seeing that Tally-Ho in bottles – is that going to be available country wide?
Hi Richard, Old is still on until the end of Jan at least, we’ll let the Queens Head know they can keep ordering. Sorry the Tally Ho this year isn’t to your taste, it is drier than last years but then it was aged for an extra 6 months.
Sorry to say the Tally Ho was disapointing this year, tried it in 3 pubs, it had a very bitter metalic taste, quite unlike previous years. The bottled version tasted the same, though this might improve with keeping.
On the other hand the Old was marvellous, why such a short brew run? According to our local, The Queens Head at Brandeston it is finished. It use to be brewed from October to April. Who want’s to drink bitter in weather like this?
Thank you from an long time drinker of your beers, about 40 years.
Hi Nick, no plans to bottle Oyster Stout as yet. It will be back in cask in February probably accompanied by some more wet days
Any thoughts of Adnams Oyster being made available in bottles? I first tried it after a cold wet sail one day in february a few years ago and I love it.
