Adnams partners Mythos

Adnams, the Suffolk coastal brewer is announcing a partnership with the Greek premium lager Mythos, from Mythos Breweries SA in Greece. Mythos is one of the top three beer brands in Greece and is the top selling authentic Hellenic Heritage Beer, with a strong presence, 80% distribution in the tourist areas.

“We are very proud to be working with Adnams” says John Kamviselis, Managing Director of Mythos Brewery, “Who have not just a strong local heritage, like Mythos, but work with and in the finest outlets by channel.  The UK is an important development market and opportunity for Mythos not least because of our love of the Greek Islands.”

Adnams Sales Director, Rob Flanagan explains, “There are a number of similarities between Adnams and Mythos Brewery, both are concerned about the environment and are beers from the coast, operating at a premium level. We know that three million British tourists visit Greece each year, being able to find Mythos on their return will bring back happy memories.”

Adnams has a history of developing strong partnerships with other interesting forward thinking brewers from the UK and Europe. Included in this is a relationship with Bitburg of Germany, which has been a close fruitful partnership for well over 20 years. Adnams also have partnerships with Spendrups of Sweden where we have the exclusive rights for their packaged beers, and as a new relationship Adnams are about to launch one Spendrups product in the UK and build the Spendrups name from there.
